Claus Gielisch, who holds a degree in law, joined the company management in 1986. He managed the company together with his father, Carl Gielisch until 1990, when he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer. At the operational business level, Claus Gielisch handles fine-art claims in his capacity as a publicly appointed and sworn expert in the assessment and evaluation of damages to contemporary art objects. He assesses damages to art works for clients in the insurance industry around the world. Engaging in arts and cultural activities also forms part of his private life.

In September 2018, Ralf Radermacher joins the management of C. Gielisch GmbH as the company's Managing Director. He has been consulting companies, most of them owner-run family businesses, across various industries for almost 30 years, assuming roles as their board member or managing director. Before that, he worked in the auditing, tax consultancy and management consultancy sectors for 10 years, following his graduation from business school at Cologne University.


Ralf Radermacher and his partner live in Düsseldorf and Bergisch Gladbach.

Alexander Schmidt was appointed as Chief Operating Officer in November 2021 and looks over the business operations. Before that, he held a senior position at a major insurance company for more than 10 years. Alexander Schmidt has a degree in law and before he started working at the insurance company, he handled liability claims at a law firm and developed wordings for a broker.


Alexander Schmidt has three children and lives in Düsseldorf.
